The renovation of @silocoffee is conceived as a project of continuity, where architecture, furniture, art, and atmosphere come together through a coherent material and spatial language. At its center, a curved wooden seating system wraps along the brick wall, forming a continuous communal landscape that shapes how people gather, pause, and inhabit the café. Its geometry invites proximity and shared use, while allowing for different rhythms of occupation throughout the day.
Wood and steel define the project’s identity. Wood introduces warmth, tactility, and comfort; steel provides clarity, structure, and precision. This dual material language extends across seating, tables, shelving, and lighting, reinforcing a balanced and grounded atmosphere. Rounded forms soften the compact interior, encouraging fluid movement and gentle transitions.
Large paintings activate the vertical plane, extending the rhythm of the curved seating into the visual field without overpowering the space. Toward the exterior, corten steel benches and a permeable façade allow the café’s warmth to spill into the street, connecting interior life with the urban context. The result is a space that feels open, welcoming, and deeply aligned with the everyday rituals that define @silocoffee.
